The hair your hoover left behind.

Pet hair doesn't sit on top of fabric. It works down between the fibres and hooks in, and suction passes straight over the top of it. That's why a sofa you vacuumed yesterday still leaves fur on the back of your jeans.

This lifts it out instead of trying to pull it out. Roll back and forth, and the hair comes up off the surface and into the chamber — where you can see exactly how much your vacuum had been missing.

  • Nothing to buy again

No adhesive sheets, no batteries, no charging cable. Roll, empty, repeat — for years rather than for four sheets.

  • Built for woven surfaces

Fabric sofas, carpet, stair pile, bedding, pet beds and car seats. Anywhere fur has worked its way into a weave.

  • The hair goes somewhere

It doesn't just shift fur around the room. Every pass lifts it off the surface and into the chamber, so you can see the job is actually done.

  • Short coat or double coat

Fine cat hair, husky undercoat, terrier bristle. The velvet surface doesn't much care which one you've got.

Why not just use a sticky roller?

Adhesive rollers do work — for about four sheets. Then you're peeling, binning and buying more. This does the same job without the running cost, and it reaches into pile that tape sits on top of.

Before you buy

What surfaces does it work on?

Woven and upholstered surfaces are where it earns its keep — fabric sofas and armchairs, carpet, stair pile, duvets and bedding, pet beds, blankets, cat trees and car seats. Anywhere hair has worked its way down into a weave and a vacuum passes over the top of it.

What doesn't it work on?

We'd rather tell you now than have you find out. It does nothing useful on hard floors, tiles or laminate — there's no pile for it to work against, so use a vacuum there. It isn't for thin knitwear or delicate jumpers, and it doesn't work on wet or damp fabric. If your main problem is hair on a wooden floor, this is the wrong tool and we'd rather you kept your money.

How do I empty it?

Lift the lid on top, tip the chamber out over a bin, close it again. That's the whole job. No rinsing and no washing — the chamber stays dry, so you can empty it mid-clean and carry straight on.

Do I ever need to buy refills?

No. Nothing to replace, nothing to charge, nothing to reorder. That's the entire argument for it over a sticky roller — you buy it once and then stop spending on the problem.

Will it damage my sofa?

It's designed for non-knit fabric and shouldn't mark normal upholstery. That said, if you've got something delicate, vintage or expensive, test a small patch somewhere out of sight first. We'd say the same about any cleaning tool that touches your furniture.

Does it work on cat hair as well as dog?

Both — and rabbit and guinea pig too. Fine cat hair and heavy double-coat shedding both lift out. The surface doesn't distinguish between them, so a multi-pet household only needs the one.

How long will delivery take?

5 to 14 days, tracked, with the tracking number emailed the moment it ships. Most orders land inside a week. We'd rather be straight with you about that than promise next-day and let you down.

What if it doesn't work for us?

Thirty days to send it back for a full refund, used or not. Email us and we'll sort it.

Why we made this

We started Velyras because of one specific irritation: loving where your dog wants to go, and dreading what comes home with you.

Everything we sell has to pass the same test — does it solve a real problem a pet owner has on an ordinary Tuesday? Not a gimmick. Something you use once and then keep reaching for, which is about the highest compliment a piece of kit can earn.

We're a small UK operation. If something's wrong you'll get a reply from someone who actually cares whether it gets fixed.
